In this song, a Native American chief speaks of the power of circles that moves through the universe, the lives of Native Americans, and within ourselves. Everything strives to be round, and you see this reflected in many phenomena. Their teepees, their drums, in the celestial arc, the swirling wind, the round planets, birds' nests, the returning seasons, our lives. Power is not angular and sharp, but flows and dances where it needs to and can, in its own rhythm.
I remember from my coaching training that we sat in a circle as a group, and that it represents the feminine. This also resonates in the breathing circles I've experienced and plan to organize. We lie on our own mats with our heads toward the center.
What would it be like for you to allow more 'roundness' into your life? To build time for emptiness alongside all the action? Or to experience the gentle power of a connected breath? Or to experience massaging hands that make circles, sometimes delving deeply, sometimes connecting humorously and playfully?
